Wine critic Natalie MacLean got it right, from my point of view, when she wrote, “Another fantastic vintage for Les Vignes De Bila-Haut 2017 and fantastic value. Wine grapes are grown organically and biodynamically for this zesty, full-bodied red blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan. Sensuous, flavorful to the last sip. Look for dark berries, plums, spice, and dried herbs on nose and palate. Well-structured and a pleasure to drink, pair with grilled fennel sausages and sweet potato wedges.” She awarded it 91 points. The Wine Advocate’s Joe Czerwinski agreed: “The 2017 Les Vignes de Bila Haut was lush, creamy and generous. It's loaded with vibrant cherry fruit, framed by supple tannins and just downright delicious.” Less than $11/bottle and good through 2022. It doesn’t get much better than that!” He, too, awarded it 91 points.
