Vignobles & Compagnie Côtes du Rhône Villages 'Les Combelles' 2021

This is a really delish wine. According to the International Wine Report, “The 2021 'Les Combelles' Côtes du Rhône Villages opens to aromatics of dark cherries and raspberries which are woven together with herbs, minerals and fresh cut florals. On the palate this possesses a medium body, with a nice combination of fruit and acidity as it remains fresh and clean through the finish.” The reviewer bestowed 91 points on the wine, saying it would still be drinking well in 2026.

Wine Enthusiast was also bullish: “Luscious in texture, this wine is quite enjoyable. Unfolding layers of ripe blackberry, tangerine, blood orange, pomelo, thyme stems and violets coat the palate and finish with a soft stone finish.” Another 91-point score. I’ve seen this wine available for as little as $12+.
