I was fortunate enough to snag eight bottles of the 2013 Wildberry Estate Two Passions Cabernet Sauvignon. After all, a 2013: How much life could it have left? According to Joe Czerewinski, who now reviews for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, it should be good through 2028. And when I say good, I mean yum-yum good. As Czerwinski put it, “This restrained, medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is a solid value. On the nose, cedar, vanilla, and cassis elements blend together easily, while brown sugar and vanilla flavors are supported by just enough cassis and black cherry fruit.” He rated it 90 points, and – in my judgment – was a bit stingy in doing so. At this writing, the 2013 was still available from Wine Library at $14.99/bottle.
