This is an absolutely delish sparkling wine, made in France’s Loire Valley, using traditional Champagne-production techniques. According to the winery, “Chenin and Chardonnay are pressed and fermented together in temperature-controlled tanks for 3 weeks at a low temperature. After the second fermentation, the wine ages at least 12 months on lees for a richer texture.” A quick thumbnail in Wine Spectator notes, “Pretty pear and creamed apple notes mingle with white ginger and almond, showing good focus.” For me , “delish” does it well, especially given a price tag as low as $11!
